It’s November now, and we are approximately nine months into the coronavirus pandemic. All businesses, industries and individuals have been affected, but it is perhaps the restaurant industry that has been hit the hardest.
According to the National Restaurant Association, two out of three restaurant employees have lost their jobs, and the industry itself expects to lose up to $240 billion by the end of 2020. These devastating statistics show us just how important it is to continue supporting your local restaurants however you can, whether through ordering in or purchasing gift cards.
Precision Color Graphics is a proud supporter of our local restaurants. In fact, some of our favorite projects have been the ones we’ve done at local food establishments.
Mikimoto’s Asian Grill + Sushi Bar
For Mikimotos Asian Grill + Sushi Bar, we installed a Mactac Decco Fresco wall covering that highlights the handiwork of the restaurant’s sushi chefs.
The design spans an entire wall behind a row of tables and draws attention to one of the restaurant’s specialties. This project used a latex printer, which is just one of the many options our company provides.
Grain H2O
We created beautiful second-surface-printed acrylic panels for Grain H2O to use as dividers. The boat images pay homage to the restaurant’s location at Summit Marina.
The 40% opacity gives the panels a shadow effect, allowing for a bit of privacy between tables.
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant
The project for Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant included Mactac Decco Murals. These murals are textured and can be liquid laminated to protect against stains and UV light damage. The artwork was created by internationally acclaimed artist Jeff Schaller, who creates the work for all of Iron Hill’s locations.
In addition to these projects, we have also created a Safety and Prevention Resource Catalog to assist restaurants in the process of reopening during the pandemic. This catalog provides examples of signage Precision Color Graphics can create to make employees and customers aware of safety and procedural guidelines that are now in place to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
We want to help restaurants make the transition back into service as easy as possible.
As we all continue to navigate life during a global pandemic, Precision Color Graphics would like to encourage you to wash your hands, wear your mask and support restaurants!
